My Counseling Approach

Hello, and thank you for visiting! I hold a master's degree in pastoral counseling from Liberty University and have continued taking classes to expand my knowledge. I am not a licensed mental health counselor, and I provide strictly nouthetic, or biblical, counseling.

Renewing Your Thoughts Through Scripture

Psalm 1:2 and Philippians 4:8 encourage us to:

The Faith That Guides Me

I have been a Christ follower since 1991. I believe in the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the resurrection of Jesus, forgiveness through repentance and surrender to Him, and the truth of God’s Word in its original text.

How I Use Scripture in Counseling

Nouthetic counseling provides biblical direction, teaching, and encouragement for life’s concerns. I share relevant Scriptures and biblical wisdom to help you consider your thoughts, circumstances, and choices from a Christian perspective.

Why Prayer is My Foundation

Prayer is the foundation of my Nouthetic counseling approach as we invite the Holy Spirit into the process. The word “nouthetic” comes from “nouthesia,” meaning direction or instruction. I listen to your concerns and use Scripture to direct, teach, instruct, and encourage understanding from a biblical perspective.

More Ways I Offer Support

Beyond counseling, I also offer personal prayer, Bible studies, Trauma Reboot, and Celebrate Recovery classes.
